Santorini

The beautiful island of Greece was created by a volcanic eruption in 16 century BC. The magical sunsets, white home, and blue domes are the trademark of magical Santorini. The spectacular views of the blue sea, black sand beaches, and cave rooms make you skip your heartbeat.

Highly recommend getting a cave room, you will not regret it.

Day 1 We explored Oia, took a bus to Thira and Imerovigli. Took some amazing sunset pictures by the churches.

Day 2 After a heavy brunch we took a half-day sailing tour. Highly recommend this as the food was great and the views were mind-blowing. You can snorkel and visit the red and white beaches as well.  We very much enjoyed this tour. You can explore Ammoudi Bay in the evening if time permits.

Day 3Off to explore the black beaches we went. Kamari is a spectacular Black sand beach. You can order food at any of the restaurants by the beach and use their complimentary sun beds. Spent another evening in Oia.

Day 4 We went on to explore the ancient ruins of Santorini at Akrotiri. Being ancient history buffs we enjoyed this trip. Visited a  local village, Megachori. Finished off the day with a magical sunset dinner in Oia, for which I made reservations of months in advance. so worth it.
