Athens

Athens is filled with so much history and ancient ruins, a beautiful city with pretty streets and amazing food. We spent 10 days in Greece. 3 days in Athens,4 days in Santorini, and 3 days in Mykonos.

On day 1 in Athens, we started out exploring the Monastiraki Area. We stay at NVJ hotel which was very close to all the attractions and shopping centers. strolling through the streets and trying some local street foods like Koulouri bread, pies, Fritters, and loukoumades.

We saw the change of guards at the front of the parliament, saw the Panathenaic stadium, the temple of Olympian Zeus, and Roman Agora, to name a few.

Day 2 started with an early visit to the Acropolis. I would suggest going real early, about 30mins before the gates open to beat the crowds. Use the south entrance, less crowded there. Tried some gyros at falafellas, super yummy. later in the evening, we took an evening tour to the temple of Poseidon. If you are not an ancient history buff, skip this. We totally are so we took this tour.

Day 3 we took a day trip to Delphi. Saw the beautiful village of Arachova on the way. Totally enjoyed it.
